Irma's - Downtown - Mexican

Menu Selections:  Chips and Salsa, Spinach Enchiladas
Fresh Spinach Enchiladas with a semi-sweet verde sauce

Since I grew up in San Antonio, I've been searching for a Mexican place in Houston that can even come close to some of the food I'm used to.  And I must say, I think I've found my home away from home!
This is the definition of a hole in the wall, which is typically an indicator that the food will be good.  It's filled with collections of old dolls, local newspaper clippings, bumper stickers, tea cups, and all other kinds of crap that could probably be found on the Hoarders TV show.  However, it made for a humble, neighborhood place type vibe.  Enhancing the comfortable vibe, we were instantly greeted, sat immediately (despite the busy lunch hour), and offered their lemonade-they really want you to drink it...it's not a question.  The waitress was very efficient and knowledgeable on the "menu", or lack thereof.  It seems they prepare a few select meals a day, and that's your menu...or I'm sure they can prepare a meal on the fly if you have a hinkering for something in particular.  Love the concept.  And it saves trees.
The salsa was excellent-another indicator that the the food will be good.  It was roasted and smoky with the perfect degree of spiciness and served warm.  In continuation, the flavor of the enchiladas wasn't masked by a shit ton 'o cheese, as enchiladas often are.  Instead, they focused on the sauteed spinach that was complimented by the cheese and possibly the beast seasoning I've ever had, all wrapped in a corn tortilla.  Amazing.  The spanish rice actually had flavor to it as well and you could tell it was made fresh, not just heated up.  The flour tortillas that were automatically served with our food (another indicator this is a legit Mexican place) were oh-so-soft and warm.
Not wanting to return to work, we reluctantly left.  I noticed a bar on the way out, and I'm 99.99% sure they can make a mean margarita.

Will I be back?  Yep, for lunch or to try a mean margarita.  Or both.

You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually something which I think I would never understand. It seems too complicated and very broad for me. I'm looking forward for your next post, I'll try to get the hang of it!

I've been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my opinion, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.
